Rev. Elliott Robinson, JD, MDiv is a respected and sought after Public Theologian, Leadership Advisor and Preacher. He is guided by the principle: “Love God, Love People” (Matt 22:37-40).
THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
Rev. Robinson recently launched the online publication “The Justice
Forum” on Medium.com. The Justice Forum allows Attorneys and Religious leaders to use their unique lens to examine the definition, presence, administration and/or absence of “Justice” in American culture, politics, religion and society.
Along with Dr. Maiysha Clairborne, Elliott (aka “Rev E-Rob”) is co-host of the highly successful podcast the Wellness Blueprint. They take a holistic approach to factors that impact the mind, body and soul. Topics they cover include: health, faith, nutrition, medicine and self-care. In the Spring of 2017, Rev. Robinson will launch the podcast, Creative Tension. Creative Tension will take an in-depth look at the strategies, successes and failures of individuals and organizations who fought against injustice and oppression.
MORAL LEADERSHIP
Elliott recently (Fall 2016) collaborated with activist Samuel White, MDiv and developed an online advocacy campaign (StopOSDBlog and supporting social media) which helped defeat the Opportunity School District Amendment in Georgia.
Rev. Robinson’s passion for leadership led him to travel to Seoul, South Korea for a study on moral leadership with renowned theologian and Emory’s Laney Chair in Moral Leadership, Dr. Robert Franklin.
Together with a cohort of scholars, they examined: North and South Korean relations; the South Korean faith community; the Comfort Women tragedy and relations with Japan.
Elliott’s partnership with Trove Inc. as an Executive Coach and Leadership Trainer has gardened positive results for government agencies, private industry and non-profits via group trainings, retreats and coaching engagements. A firm believer in Emotional Intelligence’s impact on leadership, he incorporates Pairin’s industry leading emotional intelligence assessment tool in his work with clients.
MINISTRY LEADERSHIP
Rev. Robinson is ordained as an Itinerant Deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and serves at Saint Philip AME Church (Atlanta) under the visionary leadership of Senior Pastor, Rev. William D. Watley, PhD. Elliott is actively engaged at Saint Philip as: Leader, 13/30 Men’s Ministry; Youth Minister, Risen Generation Youth Church; Facilitator, Because We Have Daughters. Rev. Elliott received his Master of Divinity from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, where he graduated with honors as both a Sims Garrett and Larry Ted May Scholar. His areas of concentration were Leadership in Church and Community as well as Religion and Race.
Rev. Robinson holds his Juris Doctor from the Howard University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the State University of New York at New Paltz. He resides in the Atlanta area with his lovely wife and their two children.
